Sabin

Sabin received his formal training at the Savannah College of Art and Design, in Savannah, GA. A visionary artist with a love for wood, he is drawn to the natural qualities inherent in wood. Before relocating to New England, Sabin had a vibrant presence, creating and selling his artwork on the River Street Artist Quarter of Savannah, GA.

Using mixed media, he brings to life odd and varied pieces of wood, portraying an intuitive vision of humanity, social context, and culture. Many of these are uniquely rendered “in the round” wrapping the image around more than one surface. This is a challenging technique that is visually intriguing and engaging.

His many “music panels” are engaging mixed media works informed by a passion for music, discerning research, and the social, cultural, and historical connections.
